3VB is proud to support the HolbornCommunity Association through its charitable and CSR initiatives. HCA create the spaces and opportunities for individuals, groups and the wider community to thrive. If you would like to understand more about their work and how your organisation can support them so that they can continue to help others, visit their website or speak to a member of their team.
Helping Holborn: Launching our campaign for 2024 We’re celebrating 35 years of HCA! We’ve been hearing stories throughout the year that highlight how HCA helps people through our lifetime offer of support. We’re inviting you to the party -to keep doing what we’re doing HCA need your help. Read on to find out more about how we help people in the area and how you’re organisation can support us. Over 20,000 live in Holborn and Bloomsbury. There’s lots of great things about living in the area of course. However, lots of those people’s everyday lives are affected by inequality in multiple ways. Nearly a third of children live in poverty - and many more families than that are finding it hard to meet everyday basic needs. Health inequalities are growing and concentrated in communities already impacted by poverty. There’s a lot of overcrowded social housing in the area with few outdoor places and spaces to go. Everyone is impacted by the surrounding environment with high levels of noise, air and light pollution. The older adult population is increasing but is increasingly isolated. Over a third of older adults live locally in poverty. We provide a lifetime offer of support to over 2000 people from across the area. That’s everything from play for young families through to support for the most vulnerable older people. At the heart of the work is bringing people together, creating spaces and places where people have fun and feel safe.
