About us

Golden Voice Foundation Africa is a youth led social change initiative empowering boys and young men to become responsible, accountable and healthy gentlemen as a way of ensuring gender equity, peace and development in families, communities and the world at large. Our journey began when our founder Nuwasasira Emmanuel (E.J Nuwasasira) recognized the urgent need to address these challenges. Through sensitization, advocacy, Capacity Building and skill-building, we aim to create a platform that not only raises awareness about the issues faced by young males but also equips them with the tools to overcome these challenges. Our pilot study in Eastern Uganda revealed alarming stories from young males struggling with various issues, including domestic violence, lack of control over family planning decisions, unfair divorce proceedings, and more. We also uncovered challenges like child labor and school dropout rates in areas like Busia district due to gold mining. These factors, combined with societal pressures and unemployment, contribute to desperation and drug abuse among males. At Golden Voice Foundation Africa, we are dedicated to creating a better future for young males across the continent. By addressing the root causes of these problems, we aim to build safer, more prosperous communities for tomorrow's citizens. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of young men and the boy child in Africa."

  • "Balance is Key: Prioritizing Family and Self-Care for Men in Business As men in business, we often prioritize work above all else. But neglecting family and self-care can lead to burnout, strained relationships, and decreased productivity. Remember, being a good provider means being present, too. Make time for: Family dinners and activities Exercise and self-care Meaningful relationships and connections By achieving a better work-life balance, you'll become a more effective leader, a more engaged partner, and a happier, healthier person." #Men4Change #OwnYourIdentity Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

  • Rebuilding Trust: Why Men Must Step Up in Business In today's corporate world, trust is a valuable currency. Unfortunately, men are increasingly facing a trust deficit. To regain trust, men must lead with transparency & accountability, foster inclusive & respectful work cultures, demonstrate empathy & active listening, address & prevent workplace harassment and bias By doing so, men can help restore trust and create a more equitable business environment where everyone thrives. We shall have an exclusive discussion with the Private sector as one of our activities celebrating the International Men’s Day #Men4Change

  • Most Fathers are emotionally detached from their children (No bond at all) and this has affected them especially the boy child that has opted for different self sabotaging behaviors like drugs, alcohol, crime, domestic violence etc. Most of the young boys never feel heard or loved at home, they are always in a constant search for belonging, and all this usually manifest in their relationships as adults #MalePositiveParenting

  • Engaging Men and Boys: A Key to Ending Gender-Based Violence Gender Based Violence is a human rights issue that affects us all. To create a safer, more equitable world, we must engage men and boys as allies and agents of change. When men and boys are involved, we see: Increased empathy and understanding Reduced perpetration of violence More supportive relationships Stronger advocacy for women's rights Let's work together to: Challenge toxic masculinity Promote healthy relationships Support survivors Advocate for policies and programs that prevent violence Together, we can create a world where everyone can live free from fear and violence.

  • Father absence can have negative effects on a child's life such as depression, drug and alcohol abuse, anxiety, psychological issues, a tendency for violence, and sexual and criminal activities. Absence is also felt by the mothers as they work through pregnancy, birth, and raising a child alone. Fathers, like mothers, are pillars in the development of a child's emotional well-being. Children look to their fathers to lay down the rules and enforce them. They also look to their fathers to provide a feeling of security, both physical and emotional. Fathers, your presence is a gift. Be there for your kids' laughter, tears and milestones. Your guidance, love and support shape their minds, hearts and futures. #WorldChildrensDay #InvestInUGchildren UNICEF Uganda Save the Children International ChildFund International
