With Vitali Svishchev, we are currently looking for skilled .NET engineers to join our teams in Vention Warsaw. Besides technical requirements, what is important in this role? And what does Vitali's team have to offer? We spoke a bit on this topic. 👉 What are the characteristics of your ideal candidate in terms of soft skills? What fits your group and team best? "What's important to me is the candidate's open and proactive mindset. I'm proud of developers and engineers who are building their career paths and improving their skills, and it's even better when such a person is thinking about involving at the company level. It's important to engage in the company's technical activities to gain extra knowledge and share experience with others. Like in life, it's crucial not only to receive but also to give something to others. People with a social mindset are highly appreciated." 👉 As a manager, what could you offer this person, and what does your group have to offer? "In our department, we're improving the expertise of our engineers in different spheres. We provide an atmosphere of collaboration where one developer can help another. We support personal improvement plans with technical and non-technical aspects, including advice, sharing experiences, certifications, and book recommendations. We also offer opportunities to broaden technology stacks and get closer to the business side, such as involvement in pre-sales or client calls. This helps developers who want to grow into architect or solution architect positions." 👉 What's specifically cool about us at the company level? "If you want to build your career, are interested in growing your skills, and take on more responsibilities, it's always possible here. Also, our employees are really open to helping others and sharing their expertise. We're not bound to any specific structure, so you can reach out to someone from another country and just have a person-to-person conversation. If a person is open to communication, they'll easily find support and others with the same interest in technology." Sounds encouraging! “We have a saying in Poland: ‘A man learns his entire life, yet dies still unknowing.’ The IT industry is constantly evolving, and so are the demands that come with it. Every project is unique and often requires us to learn something new. Despite this, I rarely see teams actively working together to enhance their knowledge and skillsets. More often than not, we spend our personal time, in the evenings, learning on our own instead of integrating this into our team’s or company’s practices. Now, imagine spending time with your colleagues—pair programming with new technologies or discussing the latest trends together. Sounds great, right? So, what’s stopping you? 👉 If you’re a developer: 🟦 Ask your manager for dedicated learning time (related to your field of work, of course) for the team. This won’t be wasted time for the company. It will boost the team’s knowledge, strengthen trust in the company, and enhance team cohesion. 👉 If you’re a manager: 🟦 Organize learning sessions for your team—but don’t force it. The team needs to feel motivated, not pressured! #ITConsulting #StartupTech #TeamEfficiency #TechArchitecture #TechnicalDebt #SoftwareDevelopment #TeamManagement

So Feral Interactive shows new video of their future mobile version of Empire Total War. https://lnkd.in/dktRTPK6 And they are using such names for Ukrainian cities on English version: "Lwów" not Lviv, "Kiev" not Kyiv, "Bakhchisaray" not Backchysaray. Are you serious??? I didn't start a hystory dibates that part of Ukraine had autonomy in the beginning of 18 century. You had problems in your series. For example in Medieval 2 Kyivan Rus named as russia *facepalm*. But at least you could use proper names! Not polish variants of cities names, not russian variants. https://lnkd.in/d8JewxwN https://lnkd.in/dzgMdeDp https://lnkd.in/d2q8m_6B It would be great to see products without such mistakes. Especially in times of bloody russian invasion!

We are missing the context of the impact on the long-term development of company culture. In the long term, you must focus on several areas to ensure that your company relies on process and internal knowledge, not particular team members. You have to fight with knowledge silos, encouraging exchanging knowledge between projects, and finding the right time to do that between project working hours isn't a simple thing. Remote work can cause anxiety and make people lack a sense of belonging to the company. Face-to-face interactions have a significant impact on teamwork. They can make it easier to read feelings when you are with someone in a meeting, more accessible than when speaking to them on a phone or video call. This is a significant difference in building trust and a sense of belonging among employees.

On May 8th, we have WarsawJS Meetup #114 awaiting us, featuring Tomasz Ducin on stage with a fascinating presentation titled "Back in the game: Recent Revolutionary Changes in Angular"! But today, let's reminisce about his previous appearance at WarsawJS Meetup #108 💭 In that lecture, titled "Who needs Server Components?", Tomasz delved into the next step in the evolution of web architecture. After MPAs, SPAs, SSR, SSG/ISG, it's time for Server Components! Throughout the presentation, he asked himself many questions: Does this architecture fit the needs of my business and application? What are the benefits? And are we not stepping backward by moving more operations back to the server? Breaking down the hype around Server Components, Tomasz also introduced us to some technical details regarding React Server Components. By combining client-side interactivity with server-side efficiency, we can optimize web metrics and revolutionize website development. We invite you to watch that presentation, which opened our minds to a new perspective on web development! Enjoy watching! 🍿 🎥 Part 1: https://lnkd.in/dQ7G_jFZ 🎥 Part 2: https://lnkd.in/dJzQmsQD We encourage you to participate in WarsawJS Meetup #114, where you'll have the opportunity to not only listen to Tomasz's lecture but also to other outstanding speakers live. 💫On May 8, the 3rd Invest Meetup organized by iPlan.ua took place in Krakow. 🤝 Krakow Invest Meetup is a community of investors who gather not only to listen to speakers, but also to share their own experience. This is always a lot of important information, a community of like-minded people, representatives of successful companies and experts in the field of investments, networking. 💰 Our colleague Elina Kupina took part in the event and talked about mutual investment funds in Poland (TFI). 🥜 In nutshell, such an investment is safe, because it is regulated by law and state authorities. It is a good option for: - beginner investors (with small capital) - conservative and passive investors 🔺 For active and aggressive strategies it is better to open a brokerage account and buy shares of individual companies or cheap ETFs. Advantages of mutual funds compared to ETFs are the following: ✅ no need to open a brokerage account ✅ no commission for the purchase and transfer of funds ✅ low entrance threshold (100-200 PLN) ✅ tax benefits Disadvantages of Polish mutual funds are: 🔴 higher commission for asset management (in ETFs 0.1-0.2%, in mutual funds - from 0.5%) 🔴 only accumulative strategies (dividends are reinvested, not destributed) 🔴 a smaller variety of investment instruments (there are no funds that buy gold, real estate or cryptocurrencies. Only stocks and bonds are available) ❓ Do you invest in mutual funds? #WealthGardens #Poland #Krakow #mutualfund #Polishmutualfunds #taxbenefits #stocks #bonds #assetmanagement #KrakowInvestMeetup #InvestMeetup

Hey, I'm Jakub, the proud CEO of Nexit! As a 16-year-old I dived into SAP ABAP development for the first time. Today, 5 years later, I stand as a CEO, with a team of 14 amazing individuals by my side. Why take on this role at such a young age? Well, for me, it's all about making a difference. I saw the massive potential in the SAP industry early on and knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I've received along the way. Firstly, I owe a lot to my father, who introduced me to the IT world and always supported me. Alongside him, Ondrej Príšin dedicated countless hours to mentoring me while sharing his knowledge and expertise. He is the one, who showed me what SAP is really about and, let’s be honest, private mentoring from a senior developer gave me the essential boost. However, the one who gave me the opportunity to prove myself was Matúš Medveď who entrusted our company with the first project. Equally important were my friends, who trusted me enough to join me and now are an important part of my company. Since then, our partnerships and company have only grown stronger, and we've collaborated on numerous projects, achieving great results together. Sure, being a young CEO comes with its challenges. People often expect a certain age for leadership roles in this industry. But you know what they say – age is just a number! It truly doesn't define your capabilities or ambitions. I devoted my youth to working tirelessly on improving my skills. It took discipline, effort, and a fair share of trial and error. I remember many sleepless nights because I took on multiple projects and missed a lot of fun events because I had a book to read or a course to attend. These hardships almost made me give up. But I didn’t and trust me, it was all worth it. Now, with years of hands-on experience and a team of skilled professionals by my side, I aim to create growth opportunities, for both my team and our clients. So, here I am, proof that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible. But this isn't just about me – it's about inspiring other young, determined people to pursue their dreams, one bold step at a time. Join me as we continue to write the next chapter of Nexit's story. #YoungCEO #SAP #ABAP #Nexit

From simple to complex: a working account management framework for small IT businesses On November 28, I will speak at Lviv IT Meets, where I’ll share two years of Wiseboard’s results, 12 completed account management projects with companies, and the expertise of 11 advisors. I’ll also show how these practices are implemented at Wiseboard and the business impact we've had. My topic plan (hope to be done in 45 minutes): 1. Common AM challenges companies have 2. Symptoms that AM is not working in the company 3. Evolution of the AM function in organizations • First come, first served • AM as PM/Sales/DM/Founder • Client success → AM • AM → Client partner 4. Step-by-step roadmap for building the AM function 5. AM-Sales-Delivery alignment 6. How AM works at Wiseboard, based on advisors' best practices. But that’s not all. I’ll also moderate a panel discussion where CEOs and founders will share their experiences in building account management. So Den Rudenko, Nadia Lushchak, Serhiy Kharytonov, and Nazar Hembara looking forward to chating with you! Come along if you’re in Lviv. I’ll meet you with two of our Wiseboard advisors.
