Prerequisites
This course assumes no previous Linux knowledge but it does require other operating system and interface skills that a regular user encounters such as logging into a Graphical Interface (GUI), running applications from the GUI, downloading files from the Internet and installing software packages on your selected system.

Lab Info
The demo/lab environment is Virtual Machine focused.

  1. The prerequisites are:
    A system with one of the following environments installed:

    1. VMware player or Workstation
    2. Oracle VirtualBox
    3. KVM 
  2. The necessary skills to create a virtual machine on the chosen hypervisor.
  3. The machine should have a minimum of 4GB of memory and 20GB of free disk space. 
  4. The install image for Ubuntu 20.04 (link and installation instructions provided in the course).

I have been using Linux for the last couple of years, to be honest I was surprised how much general knowledge about Linux I had gained, The course gave me a greater understanding of the tenements upon which Linux is built, and it clued me in to a few really handy testing features I had never used in Linux.
