#Usability_testing often feels like a routine checkpoint in the UX process, but it doesn’t have to be that way A few days ago, we conducted a usability test for a new big telecom and lifestyle app in the region, taking a fresh, more engaging approach instead of sticking to a traditional structure. To make the session feel natural and reflective of real-life use, we introduced playful elements. Participants were given challenges and rewards as they navigated the app and complete tasks with different scenarios instead of sticking to a traditional structure, creating an interactive, gamified experience. This not only encouraged them to explore the app’s features more freely but also revealed authentic insights into their behavior. By blending gamification with real-world scenarios, the usability test became both enjoyable and insightful. Few ideas on how to work with your users in your next project. I personally experienced a modification of Solution drag'n'drop where the user was pointing what to drag and drop to a specific place he imagined it should go. At first it may seem that it does't make sense, but once you get the full picture, you will be one step ahead of understanding your user's expectations.

One of the biggest hurdles with design, development, and the rest of business is language. "Attracting more eyes" for business leaders might translate to "understanding user needs" for developers. This doesn't mean either side is wrong, it simply means there's a language barrier. Leaders on both sides should have a better understanding of how to speak the other's language. 💡Typical Mistakes During UX Audit & How To Avoid Them When conducting a UX audit, certain mistakes can undermine the effectiveness of the process: 🍎 Lack of clear objectives Not defining clear goals for the audit leads to a lack of focus. Solution: Define what you aim to achieve with the UX audit from the outset. Establish specific, measurable objectives (i.e., increase conversion rate to 25%) before starting the audit to guide the evaluation process. 🍎 Inadequate task analysis Not performing a thorough analysis of the tasks users complete using your product will lead to a lack of understanding of user goals. Solution: Conduct task analysis to understand the steps users take to achieve their goals and identify any obstacles they encounter. 🍎 Not considering entire user journey Evaluating isolated parts of the user experience without understanding the entire user journey.
