  • Arthroscopy means looking inside the joint. A thin optical instrument is inserted into the joint. It is illuminated by a special cold fibre optic light source. A camera is attached to the end and the image is transmitted to a screen. Because the structures in the joint are magnified about 10 times, they are much clearer and brighter on the screen. Specific tools and devices are also used exclusively for the treatment of the identified problem. The arthropump device, which fills the joint with water and provides constant pressure during surgery, is a standard tool. Radiofrequency and laser devices are used to treat tissue. In addition, very specialised arthroscopic hand instruments are used to suture and manipulate tissue in the narrow space inside the joint. Joint related diseases and their treatments can be a painful process both for patients and physicians regardless of the cause. With arthroscopic imaging devices and optical systems offer significant comfort to both the patient and the operating surgeon. #viraltopic #Arthroscopy
