POSITION SUMMARY: Implement policies and procedures throughout RMF Nooter for general safety and health.
Assist in adapting and implementing policies and procedures as they pertain to project requirements, safety, health, industrial hygiene and environmental to ensure the company objectives are met.
FUNCTION OF THE JOB: Incorporate RMF Nooter's safety policies and procedures into daily action.
Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with all levels of employees, customers, and sub-contractors.
Employ problem solving skills that provide solutions to issues that arise and assist in implementing those solutions.
Assist all departments in developing action plans to reduce or eliminate occupational illnesses and injuries through the use of a Job Safety Assessment (JSA).
Assist in pre-job planning and set-up.
Monitor and evaluate job site safety on a daily basis to reinforce good safety behavior and identify unsafe condition, procedures, performance and follow-up to ensure they are corrected.
Organize and perform new hire sign ups, indoctrination and all the other necessary training.
All associated documentation/recordkeeping will be completed and sent to the office in a timely manner.
Assist project Supervision in the daily implementation and enforcement of jobsite safety.
Monitor all activities, safety performance, injuries and training of subcontractors.
Assist or perform daily and/or weekly toolbox talk with our employees and management.
Perform Safety audits and provide the appropriate corrections.
Interface with customer and subcontractor safety to coordinate safety and health issues.
Complete thorough accident investigations and develop "Lessons Learned" from the incidents.
Manage and report all first aids.
Report directly to Project Manager and Safety Manager.
Travel to and remain at jobsite until released by Project Manager.
Occasionally travel to remote jobsites.
Perform additional assignments per the direction of the Safety Manager.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge: An Associates of Science degree or equivalent combinations of technical training through associations such as OHST, CHST, COSS, ASP, or SCP or Related Experience - Working knowledge ofOSHA 1910 & 1926 Standards Experience: Five more years experience in occupational safety.
Related field in construction or petrochemical or chemical industry.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and work aids (which may be representative but not all inclusive to those commonly associated with this position) Basic knowledge of computers including, Microsoft Office windows, excel, word, power point and internet.
The ability to learn other software if required by the job.
License(s) Certification(s) Valid State - issued Driver's License COSS, CHST, or higher
