Inventory Planner responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the company.
Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained to the optimum level to support on time customer deliveries while keeping inventory holdings at the appropriate stocking levels.
Eliminate stock outs while eliminating excess and obsolete inventory.
Define inventory policies through recommending replenishment and/or safety stock levels.
Review common raw materials at multiple sites and define distribution plan.
Follow and analyze market trends to assess changes in material lead-time and cost to optimize sourcing for Woodsage LLC requirements and make recommendations to the management team.
Work with the Strategic Supply Chain Director on assigned strategic sourcing projects for assurance of supply, reduce landed cost, and ensure world class quality products and services.
Collaborate with other departments and management to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
Work with the sales team, engineering team, and production team on new product and/or process development, material optimization and rationalization.
Maintain compliance to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards for inventory/purchasing and related activities.
Perform purchasing activities such as, but not limited to;
Material planning and tracking activities & Raw materials procurement.
Creating, processing, and submitting purchase orders through ERP system.
Supplier performance tracking and evaluation including quarterly supplier evaluations.
Verification and entry of receiving documentation, and reconciliation of invoice variances.
Administrative duties relating to purchasing and receiving including tracking through PO lifecycle.
Professionally represent Woodsage LLC with vendors and suppliers on purchasing activities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; OR combination of education & experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced changing environment.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills including data analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients & vendors
Able to work well in a team-oriented work environment.
Positive attitude, continuous improvement mindset, and self-directed individual.

Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
