The Electrical Carbon Business of Morgan Advanced Materials designs and manufactures a broad range of high performance solutions for rotary transfer systems, linear transfer systems and electrical carbon systems.

Responsibilities:
Electrical project engineer will work on electrical controls and facilities related infrastructure projects for the Electrical Carbon Group located in Fostoria, Ohio.
This position reports to our Project Engineering Manager who leads a team that provides local support and executes capital and major maintenance projects.
Confer with operations, engineers, internal customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical infrastructure projects.
This could range from medium to low voltage distribution systems.
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical control systems and instrumentation related projects.
This would include maintaining current, upgrading existing and implementation of new systems.
Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering related problems and projects.
Ensure design and construction activities meet industry standards.
Develop project budgets, estimating labor, material and equipment.
Writes and submits supporting documentation needed for Capital Expenditure requests.
Prepare specification for purchase of materials and equipment.
Oversee execution of project efforts to assure tasks are completed safetly, too standard, on time and within budget.
Provides routine communications to ensure stakeholders are properly informed of design, development, and implementation progress.
Provide on-site support as necessary to evaluates, troubleshoot, and solve equipment and facility related problems.
Supervise and train technical personnel and contractors.
Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCad.
This would also include library development and archive management.
Qualifications:
BS.
degree Electrical Engineering or related field
5 years related experience
High proficiency working with VFD, HMI and PLC control systems.
Project Management experience.
Proficient in the use of AutoCad.
Full understanding of NFPA Electrical Standards.
Basic understanding of quality management systems in an ISO 9001/AS 9100.
Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques is desired.
Experience with Microsoft Word-Processing and Spreadsheet (Excel) software.
