Quality Technician II - Metallurgy/ Metals

*Quality Technician – I* *Job Overview* We’re looking for a Quality Technician who has metallurgical lab experience including but not limited to EDM Wire cutting, EPOXY Resin Mounting of samples, Polishing and Optical Microscopy.
Experience inspecting products for defects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of quality control procedures and will be able to work independently to identify and report issues in a timely manner.
*Responsibilities and Duties* * Develop and maintain Quality Inspection Reports Per ISO 9001:2015.
* Perform Quality Testing of samples including samples cutting, mounting, polishing and microscopy.
* Assist in Root cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
* Report all the Inspection findings to Quality and production team.
* Work with Production Team in Identifying and resolving Quality Issues * Perform Studies as requested by the Quality Engineer.
* Will be responsible for performing the Incoming Quality Inspection.
* Perform out going dock Audits of the finished products.
* Perform In process Quality Inspections.
* Maintain Quality Lab Area with 5S Principles.
* Perform Containment Activities when there is a quality issue.
* Submit a Daily Report to Quality Engineer.
* Perform any tasks as directed.
*Qualifications* * High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* At least 1 Year of Metallography or Metallurgical Lab Testing Experience Required.
* Experience with EDM Wire Cutter, Cold Mounting, Auto Polishing and Optical Microscopy.
* Metallography lab experience preferred.
* 1 Year training in Metallography preferred.
* ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949 Experience Preferred.
