*CAMP COUNSELOR*
*Seasonal Position (June – August, 2024)*

*Work Schedule: *Generally - First Shift (8:00am-5:00pm)

*MINUMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:* An example of acceptable qualifications: Experience working with children.
Basic knowledge of local natural resources.
Preference given to those who have earned or are working towards a degree in Education, Interpretation, Natural Resources, Outdoor Recreation, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or related field.
Must be 16 years of age at start of employment; Confident public speaker to all ages.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

*JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO*: Supervises campers; Provide first aid to campers in accordance with camp policies; Willingness to work with others in a team environment; exhibit a professional manner with patrons/volunteers; works with/mentors youth camp volunteers; assists with cleaning, assists with kayak and canoe program; overnight camps; rope climbing; customer service and clerical work; assists with animal care and upkeep of program animals; develops nature camp curriculum associated with outdoor education, nature interpretation, environmental sciences, preservation, wise use of natural resources, historical/cultural education, the arts and related topics.
