Teacher Assistant

*Position:* Teacher Assistant *Classification: *Part Time *Purpose of Role: *The Teacher Assistant for Play Pals Daycare is passionate about providing a warm, safe and nurturing environment for children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years old to thrive.
They are concerned with ensuring that children receive abundant attention as an extension of the care received from their primary caregivers.
*Reports To:* Classroom Lead Teachers *Primary Responsibilities:* * Assist Teachers with support of children and duties * Utilize age-appropriate developmental materials for the classroom * Assist curriculum implementation in a manner that supports creativity and learning * Follow Ohio state rules and regulations with regards to classroom operations * Supervise the classroom when the teacher is out of the room, keeping the teacher informed of any relevant incidents, needs or issues.
* Help with general housekeeping tasks and meal/snack preparation and clean up *Additional Responsibilities:* * File incident reports as needed * Attend training and development opportunities *Skills and Attributes:* * Minimum High School certificate or GED completion * Active First Aid and CPR certification * Nurturing: Love of working with children * Strong observation skills and developed intuition * Ability to maintain a clean and orderly area * Abundance of patience and self control * Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with an ability to adapt as required * Self motivated and personally driven * Understanding of privacy and confidentiality * Clear communication to children and adults, including conflict resolution skills * Humility: A team player Job Type: Part-time Pay: $13.
