Our Socks Forever More
03:52
|
|||
One of these days gonna make it back
Might just make it back to your mattress
One of these days gonna make it back
Might just make it back to your floor
Sneak my weight under the door
Slide in across your floorboards
Most of the time her brain goes fast
Her mind moves more than her mouth
It makes for a certain sort of messing up
Of the words that ought fall out
OoohOoohOoohOooh
OoohOoohOoohOooh
One of these days gonna make it back
Might just make it back to your mattress
One of these days gonna make it back
Might just make it back to your floor
But I've got this thing you see
This thing about self-sufficiency
It'll be the end of me
And I wanted it to, to join in with you
To take off my shoes and socks forever more
Flying across the floor

Creeping Up Our Shins
02:43
|
|||
not much of a tune
between me and you
not nearly enough room
why don’t we breathe
all the way in
shake out our skins
and loose up our limbs
loose up
and all of this mess
down around our ankles
creeping up our shins
ever so untidy
ever so unclean
some of it was thrown here
down around our ankles
creeping up our shins
ever so untidy
ever so unclean
some of it was thrown here
and loose up

Shared Out
02:58
|
|||
i wonder if they share it out
if we have
a certain amount
some more than others
some of it hidden
maybe she’s got all of mine
mostly when she sleeps
mostly when she breathes
mostly when she speaks
mostly when she breathes
mostly on my cheek

Birchwood Beaker
03:42
|
|||
carry through the snow
carry through the snow
carry through the snow
made it passed the trees
three migrating geese
to the north sea
sneaked out on a ship
creaking as it slips
breaking up the ice drifts
only odin knows
only odin knows
and the wind blows
and the wind blows
sleep some in your hood
sleep should do you good
beaker of birchwood
bent it out of bark
for drinking in the dark
the night time brought sharks
craving colder
climbs
our’s is yours
and mine
plenty of time
the sun it sure did shine
all the time for too hot ever so dry
Carry through the snow
Carry through the snow

With Her Wheels Again
02:53
|
|||
happy is she
who’s not missing her bike
happy is she
holding on to the line of her kite
with all the winds might
and happy is she
who’s not without her wheels
remembering how
flying and gravity feels
happy is she

Two Wooden Spoons
03:50
|
|||
what a duo what a duo what a two
two carved spoons carve two spoons out of wood
from the same tree from the same bowl the same school
but without one when without one not the same
lost and looking lost and looking is a shame
their two hearts two hearts
holding tight
over oceans under mountains days and nights
but when together
hold together
good glows light
swapping stockings starting stopping
borrowed tights
so happy birthday happy birthday
runny eyes

We Need Our Knees
03:12
|
|||
now it lives in my ribs
don’t we share our bones
how we need our knees
|
||||

Moths
02:57
|
|||
these feet don’t know this ground and these knees
don’t know this weight this weight
and the sun hits the tarmac making her horison dance, dance
and it wobbles
with the lack of wind and the heat of noon
and my eyes will be quick
and my feet will be fast
and i’ll be paying attention soon
these ears don’t know this sound and this skin doesn’t know this light
and the moths
have all fallen away from the moon
and my eyes will be quick
and my feet will be fast
and ill be paying attentions soon

Krülle Bol
02:51
|
|||
what are we gonna do with you
where are we gonna out you
what are we gonna do with you
turned all your days to birds
paper birds all getting soggy flying in the rain
heading away for days
you’re a tricky one
relief when you come back again
what are we gonna do with you
all mostly gleefully
very brimming is this happy cup that’s full of thee
drinking it greedily
drink it up
cup of mud so very gluggingly
and wont you come put your hands on me
up and down i’ve got this problem with my back you see
that’s how i’d like us please
you and me bound together most unsplittingly
what are we gonna do with you
where are we gonna put you
what are we gonna do with you

Greasy Goose
03:08
|
|||
for all that fills your limbs
for all of it outside and in
for all within your skin
for all that coats your wings
seeping out holes in your skin
nice oily cormorant's wing
hang out to dry
dive back in
good and greasy goose
pink footed sing
go on then pink footed sing

Tangled Walker
03:33
|
|||
lived mostly alone
6 heads had it grown
and 6 hair cuts
short back and sides
of it’s own
arms and legs all for sure
four times six makes
twenty four
hear his footsteps on the floor
hear him roar
now so very many heads
there were 6 like i said
noisey night time
all that snoring in one bed
and quite a talker was he yes
interrupted in front of guests
tangled walker you should have seen him
what a mess
but he made quite a choir
four sang low two heads sang higher
ringing out
all that singing by the fire
six heavy red hearts
full and bubbling from the start
hot and happy within all
six red hearts

She Does
02:50
|
|||
there’s a certain things she does
and i hold it close to me
and then it dances on my knee
what she does
she’s as wise as she can be
and she teaches me to be
and when i’m hot she cools me
and when it’s calm she’ll sing to me
and when it’s not i’ll sing to her
oh sweet harmonies that she does
an when she’s talking and asleep
talking tangled up and sheets
and when i ache she soothes me
