Google's delay on cookie deprecation is a double-edged sword. While it provides a temporary reprieve (pushed to early 2025 as opposed to the original target of Q3 this year), it underscores the urgency for a future-proof strategy that reduces dependence on third-party cookies. We must prioritise building strong first-party data practices through tactics like customer loyalty programs and website personalisation.
