The Creative Economy Agency (CEA) recently hosted the Creative Excellence Awards 2024, honoring 18 outstanding works that exemplify the power of creativity in driving innovation and social impact. This prestigious event, recognized exceptional projects across three categories: City, Business, and Social Impact.
The winning entries were selected from over 300 submissions, highlighting the depth and diversity of Thailand's creative landscape which are:
1) Creative City Awards
- Creative Festival Award: Trang Renown by Trang Province, The Trang Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports, Trang Municipality, The provinces in Southern Thailand along the Andaman Coast, and the co-creators including: Urban Seeker, Backyard Trang Cinematic, Hua Born, Decide Kit Co., Ltd., Fuum Studio, LightIs Studio Co., Ltd., Plan Creations Co., Ltd., Hop Production, Urban Ally, the Faculty of Architecture at Silpakorn University, and D-63 Co., Ltd.
- Creative Branding Award: “People, Lac, Craft” Activity, Lampang Lac Dyeing Festival Phase 1 by Suan Dusit University Lampang Campus, and the Corporate Identity of BANGKOK by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)
- Creative Cultural Asset Award: Thai Fit : Thai Dancercise by Thai Fit Studio
- Creative Regeneration Award: Revisiting Kimyong by The City Connext Co., Ltd.
- Creative Tourism Award: Go Go Bus! by MAYDAY!
2) Creative Business Awards
- Creative Sustainability Award: Innovative Protein Recovering from Salted Egg White to High Value Food by Naresuan University and Chiang Mai University, and Niran Eco-Friendly Wreath by Boon Chareon Weaving Co., Ltd.
- Creative Transformation Award: Tiger Peanuts Milk by White Tiger King Co., Ltd.
- Creative Social Responsibility Award: AfterKlass Money Board Game Youth Tournament 2024 by Kasikornbank PCL. and Play Digital Co., Ltd., and From Kitchen To Chicken and Beyond by Sivatel Bangkok Hotel
- Creative Collaboration Award: Kai Hua Ror 50th HAPPYversary by Banlue Publications
- Creative Technology Award: Collective Blooms by 27June Studio
3) Creative Social Impact Awards
- Creative Community Inclusivity Award: DoiSter & Co. by Maehongson Community Based Tourism Network
- Creative Well-Being Award: Decorative Toys for Elderly "Nifty Elderly" by CLAMP IT
- Creative Equality Award: Jump Thailand Hackathon by AIS Academy and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security
- Creative Education Award: Cheewin by New Arriva Co., Ltd. and Siriraj EMS Center
- Creative Green Award: Zero Pollution Chicken by Bonban Co., Ltd.
The event also featured insightful discussions and inspiring talks by industry leaders, who shared their perspectives on the future of creativity in Thailand. By recognizing and celebrating these exceptional works, CEA aims to inspire future generations of creative minds and position Thailand as a global hub for innovation and cultural excellence.
