Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Cost Accountant - II to join our team.
The ideal candidate will maintain the Company's standard costing system while ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
Runs monthly costing for all NAL part numbers, analyze results, and make adjustments as needed.
Prepares, analyzes, and posts monthly cost of production, overhead, inventory, and scrap journal entries.
Calculates monthly royalty payments to shareholder.
Audits Bills of Material and Routings in the AS/400, reports errors to appropriate personnel, and follows-up to ensure that changes are made.
Enters standard costs to the system for all purchased components.
Calculates and analyzes inventory value of general ledger compared to manufacturing stock status.
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus 2 - 4 years of experience in an accounting position.
Experience in a manufacturing cost accounting position is preferred.
