Rewarding Work! Our Communities – Your College! IVY TECH! Under supervision, this position coordinates and oversees day-to-day administration and proctoring a range of certification and academic exams both on campus and virtually.
Provides appropriate proctoring services for both Ivy Tech students and non-Ivy Tech candidates according to required protocols and guidelines.
The position will work closely with the Testing Services Manager to maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.
The hours for this position could be scheduled anytime from 8:00 a.
m.
to 8 p.
m.
Monday through Thursday and/or 8 a.
m.
to 5 p.
m.
on Friday and/or 8 a.
m.
- noon on Saturday.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide certification, assessment, and distance education exam administration according to designated proctor policies and procedures.
Complete all required proctor and employee training and stay current with exam protocol changes.
Become certified in virtual proctoring.
Must have required internet connection and the ability to work from home when required.
Provide limited hardware and software troubleshooting, including calls to instructors or vendor technical support services when problems arise.
Maintain accurate records of all assessment services provided and supply this information to appropriate college offices on a timely basis.
Adjust testing procedures for individuals according to documentation provided by the Director of Student Support Services prior to testing session.
Assist with scheduling testing center activity.
Maintain inventory of certification testing materials, vouchers, score units, etc.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with testing vendors.
Help develop and maintain procedures for the Testing Center.
Help with training new proctors and providing updated training as procedures change.
Help maintain voucher inventory and document voucher usage.
Assist in overseeing Distance Education and Make Up testing forms and procedures including communication with faculty and students.
Be willing to work flexible and expanded hours when the need arises and during heavy volume testing.

to 8 p.
m.
M-Th; 8-5 on Friday and/or 8-12 on Saturday.
Hours could change week to week.

Hourly Rate of $15/hour
Associates Degree preferred

Requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment instructions, to use problem solving techniques as they arise and to reason to make decisions.
