50 Job Summary/Basic Function Study Abroad Peer Advisor: This position will serve as the primary peer (student) advisor for ISU students interested in semester-based Study Abroad Programs.
Advising includes: researching multiple programs and cost options; maintaining communication with the partner institutions, external program providers, and vendors; submitting of documentation for all advising meetings with students; providing support during the study abroad application process, post-acceptance, and pre-departure.
Specific Responsibilities Monitoring all current and pending study abroad applications on SL2 CRM System.
Communicating with prospective, current and alumni study abroad students.
Researching host universities programs through our affiliate providers and direct partner schools.
Coordinating ISU Campus student recruitment events such as classroom presentations, campus recruitment tables, resource fairs, and other misc.
events.
Work Schedule Work schedule will be determined by student availability and department needs.
Scheduled hours on Monday – Friday occur during normal ISU office business hours.
Some Saturdays are required for Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientations.

Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Continued communications with students while abroad and returnees; developing and updating advising materials; processing study abroad applications and generating reports as needed; researching and advising on specific country entry requirements for each program.
The SA Peer Advisor also maintains and runs the official ISU Education Abroad social media platforms: Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/ and others.
Active study abroad student recruitment.
