00 Job Summary/Basic Function Our Wellness Attendants are responsible for helping to ensure the safety of members in the gym and workout facilities as well as keeping all rooms and equipment clean and sanitized.

Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creates a safe environment in which all individuals feel welcomed and respected; build relationships with and among members and program participants.
Cleans facility including wiping down equipment, doors, and hard surfaces, mopping floors, dusting, washing mirrors and all other areas that need attention to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
Monitors exercise areas, gym, and coffee area to ensure physical distancing and member adherence to time limits on the equipment and in gym and exercise areas.
Maintains cleanliness of fitness and wellness areas with regular walk throughs and end-of-shift responsibilities.
Completes daily cleanliness, maintenance, and room attendance reports.
Monitors the coffee area and makes coffee as membership requires.
Reports all emergencies to Coordinator / Director in a timely manner.
Shares wellness program information with members, using available tools and resources (e.
g.
, handouts, schedules).
Identifies and celebrates the successes of members and program participants.
Maintains and distributes sports equipment & cleaning supplies to members.
Maintains and cleans equipment according to the schedule or as requested by supervisor.
Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
