Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! Every third Tuesday in September, the world celebrates National IT Professionals Day. It’s a great time to stop and say “Thanks!” to your favorite IT pro and recognize them for the work they do all year long, keeping our essential technology tools up and running — including your favorite Microsoft 365 apps.

Celebrating IT professionals

There are over 3 million IT pros in the United States alone, with millions more around the world. These tech wizards keep our office networks buzzing, our firewalls strong, and our essential apps up to date. Without them, we'd be lost in a sea of tech troubles. So, let's raise a virtual toast to these amazing folks who make our digital lives so much easier!

IT professionals are the unsung heroes who keep our tech systems up and running all year long

A trusted IT partner: Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 celebrated its 10-year anniversary early last year, marking a full decade since our cloud subscription was launched in 2013. Of course, Microsoft Office debuted way back in 1988, and some Microsoft 365 apps have been around even longer — including PowerPoint (since 1987), Excel (since 1985), and Word (since 1983)!

And since the very beginning, Microsoft 365 has relied on IT professionals. You send us great feedback, suggest ideas for new features, and make sure our applications are running smoothly 24/7 at organizations large and small. We wouldn’t be one of the world’s most popular office technology solutions without you!

Microsoft 365 Insider program continues to grow

We launched the Microsoft 365 Insider program (then called Office Insider) back in late 2015, with the goal of keeping users up to date on all the exciting new features we continually roll out across our different applications. IT pros are a big part of our Insider community, helping us refine these features while they are still in preview channels.

It’s been a great 9 years! The program has grown by leaps and bounds, with millions of enthusiastic users providing valuable feedback and helping shape the future of Microsoft 365.

Thank you, IT pros!

So, here’s to you, IT professionals. Thanks for everything you do on behalf of Microsoft 365 products, and for the world of technology in general. Keep up the outstanding work!
