Boeing Commercial Airplanes' Fabrication Engineering Integration organization is seeking a Fabrication Integration Senior Manager (Level L) role located in Auburn, Washington.
The Fabrication Integration team is at the center of Fabrication Engineering, ensuring collaboration and communication across the five capabilities and nineteen business units.
These capabilities and business units are located in Puget Sound, Oregon, Montana, Utah, South Carolina, Canada United Kingdom and Australia.
As the Sr.
Manager for Fabrication Integration Processes & People, you’ll have the opportunity to lead the implementation & standardization of various engineering processes and procedures – such as Engineering Affordability, Factory Support Collaboration Centers and Installation Plan Safety Evaluation Tool, and many more.
You’ll also have the opportunity to focus on Fabrication Engineers both for Staffing and Development Opportunities.
This role encompasses Fabrication staffing, ensuring the teams are proactively reviewing and validating their staffing levels and upcoming opportunities/risks.
Fabrication Integration creates and deploys development opportunities for our Fabrication Engineering population, leveraging cross-functional, cross-business unit knowledge and experience.
Our team also ensures that Fabrication Engineering documentation is kept in compliance and aligns with our engineers’ statement of work.
Position Responsibilities: Providing oversight to 2 first line engineering managers and teams with multiple engineering skills Leading Fabrication strategies & implementation across capabilities and business units Leveraging leading through influence with peers and Fabrication Engineering leaders Leveraging network to seek broad input on key projects and initiatives.
Developing and growing functional excellence within Fabrication Engineering Program Leader of Engineer in Training & Job Swap Intentional expansion of employee development across all engineering skills & Fabrication sites Focused communication across Fabrication – right information at the right time This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

3+ years of leadership or project management experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years’ experience implementing engineering changes for airplanes and/or production systems 3+ years’ experience in complex integration across multi-functional teams Proven ability to effectively communicate to both executives and engineers at all levels.
Previous experience in engineering product development Experience working with Fabrication Manufacturing Business Units (MBUs) Proven ability to manage and empower teams in ambiguous environments Experience building organizational talent pipeline in engineering Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
