Description: As a Traffic Control Office Supervisor you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the various operations related to traffic control within the organization.
The primary responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the traffic control office team.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of traffic control officers.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates, address concerns, and ensure effective communication.
Ensure that all traffic control procedures and protocols are implemented and followed by the team.
Keep abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to traffic control, and ensure compliance.
Conduct training sessions for new and existing traffic control officers to ensure they are well-versed in procedures and safety protocols.
Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
Manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
Coordinate the scheduling of traffic control officers to ensure adequate coverage.
Allocate resources efficiently to meet demand and respond to emergencies.
Liaise with other departments, law enforcement agencies, and external stakeholders to coordinate traffic control efforts.
Communicate effectively with team members to relay important information, updates, and changes in procedures.
Enforce safety standards and ensure that traffic control officers adhere to safety guidelines.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, incidents, and personnel schedules.
Prepare reports on traffic control operations for management review.
Stay current with technology used in traffic control systems and implement advancements when applicable.
Oversee the use of software and tools for scheduling, communication, and data management.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Address complaints or concerns related to traffic control operations.
Qualifications:
Strong leaderships
Excellent communication skills
Thorough understanding of Traffic Control Regulations and Procedures.
Ability to demonstrate the priority of safety and compliance while efficiently managing resources to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize disruptions.
Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures.
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in business administration or closely related field, extensive experience may be considered equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
