Step 1: Download and open the app
Socratic is available in the App Store on iOS and in the Google Play Store on Android for users who are 13 years and older. Follow these instructions on your device to get started:

Decide how you want to ask Socratic for help:

Take a photo of your problem. This approach is good for complex problems that are difficult to type or say out loud.
You can also take a photo of a textbook page or teacher handout. This lets you access alternative explanations for the same concepts that are covered in those class materials. -

Step 3: View the results

Step 4: Use the Explorer to browse topics
With the Explorer, you can browse subjects and related topics to discover more information about your area of study. Follow these instructions to use the Explorer:

Before you enter a question, scroll down to see the subjects you can explore.

Tap a subject, such as Biology or Fiction, to see a list of topics related to that subject.

Tap a topic to see Explainers that talk about the concept in depth.
