Manage power-saving settings

Your monitors can turn off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. They’ll automatically turn on 10 minutes before the next scheduled calendar event. You can also set up your monitors so that they turn on between certain times.

These settings work for both HDMI-CEC connected displays and the built-in Desk27 display.

HDMI-CEC prerequisites

For HDMI-CEC connected displays:

  • You might need to turn on HDMI-CEC, change other advanced settings, or update the firmware on your monitor. Consult your manufacturer’s documentation.
  • Connect an HDMI cable to your display and Google Meet hardware through the HDMI ports.

Test your displays

You can test whether your monitors support power-saving features.

  1. On your Google Meet hardware touchscreen, tap Settings and then Display.
  2. Under Test energy saving, tap Test.

Google Meet hardware will try to turn your display off and on again. The test might take around 30 seconds to complete.
