You can add images under 50 MB in .png, .jpg, or .gif format. Follow the image usage guidelines. SVG file format isn't supported.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
- Tap Insert
Image.
- Choose to place your image in the cell or over the cells. Cells with an image cannot also have text.
- Choose where to get your image from.
- Tap a photo.

Move an image from one cell to another
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
- Tap and hold the image you want to move.
- Tap Cut.
- Tap and hold the cell you want to move the image to.
- Tap Paste.
Move an image that's over the cells
Tap the image you want to move and drag it.
Delete an image
- To delete an image in a cell: Tap the image
- To delete an image that's over the cells: Tap and hold the image, then tap Clear.
