Send crash reports for GWMMO

Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook

You can help improve Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO) by opting to send crash reports to Google.

How do I enable crash reports?

Check the Send crash reports and usage statistics to Google box when you set up GWMMO. If GWMMO crashes, we'll gather data that can help us improve it and prevent the problem from happening again.

What's in a crash report?

This report can include personal data and system information, such as:

  • Your name or email address
  • The version of GWMMO you're using
  • Any associated files and services running when GWMMO crashed
  • Data being processed during the crash, which might include contact or message information

View your crash reports

Each crash report sent to us is stored in a file on your computer. To open the reports and view exactly what data we're receiving from you:

  1. Go to C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Local\Temp (or %TEMP%).
  2. Open the file in a text editor. The crash report file name should be similar to ID.dmp, where ID is the crash ID.

Opt out of sending crash reports

If you want to stop sending crash reports, choose an option:

  • GWMMO interface–Uncheck the Send crash reports to Google box.
  • Command line–In the ClientMigration.exe command line, enter --nocrash_reporting.

For details, go to Run migrations from the command line.

  • Microsoft Windows registry–Complete the following steps:

If you're running a 32-bit version of Outlook on a 64-bit version of Windows, you need to create the registry key in the correct location for 32-bit applications. For details, go to Configure options through the registry.

    1. In the Start menu, click Windows Systemand thenRun.

Alternatively, press the Windows key + R.

    2. In the Run box, specify regedit.
    3. Click OK.
    4. On the left of the registry, navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Update\ClientState\{7DF3B6EE-9890-4307-BDE5-E1F3FCB09771} folder.
    5. On the right of the registry, right-click usagestats and click Modify.
    6. In the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value box, under Value data, specify 0.
    7. Click OK.
