The new data migration service is a more recent version of the data migration service. You set up the migration in the Google Admin console, and the migration process takes place in the cloud.
What's migrated?
Use the new data migration service to migrate your users' email data to Google Workspace from another Google Workspace account, an IMAP account, or a consumer Gmail account. You can also migrate your users' chat messages from Microsoft Teams to Google Chat.
Additionally, you can copy files and related data from your organization’s Microsoft OneDrive business editions to your users’ Google Workspace My Drive accounts.
