Coordinate accessories with scenes in Home on Mac
Scenes allow you to control multiple accessories at once. For example, you might set a “Reading” scene that adjusts the lights, closes the blinds and adjusts the thermostat. Home has some typical scenes already set for you, but you need to edit them before they work.
Create a new scene
In the Home app on your Mac, click the Add button , then click Add Scene.
Type a name for the scene (you may have to click Custom first).
You can also click the default icon to choose a different icon.
Click Add Accessories, select the circles next to the accessories you want to include in the scene, then click Done.
Do any of the following:
Adjust the options for an accessory: Click the accessory’s name in the tile.
Preview the scene: Click Test This Scene.
Add the scene to the Home Screen: Turn on Add to Home View.
Click Done.
Run a scene
In the Home app on your Mac, click Home or a room in the sidebar that has the scene.
Click the scene.
Edit a scene
In the Home app on your Mac, click Home or a room in the sidebar that has the scene.
Double-click the scene, then do any of the following:
Adjust the options for an accessory: Click the accessory’s name in the tile.
Preview the scene: Click Test This Scene.
Change which accessories are included in the scene: Click Add or Remove Accessories.
Add the scene to the Home Screen: Turn on Add to Home View.
Click the Close button in the top-right corner.
