Tracks 1–4 are from the Painters’ 22 April 1983 appearance at the Sedition Festival.

They played at least four songs, three of which have survived in full, but for ‘Surface Paradise’ there is only this snippet.

5 & 6 are from 'Fast Forward 007', a 10/81 cassette magazine by Bruce Milne and Andrew Maine. The interview of Peter Raengel is by Virginia Moncrieff.

7 & 8 are from the 'One Stop Shopping' double-cassette compilation by Terse Tapes in 1981.

‘Terminal Ward’ is a Sunday Painters song, while ‘Room With A View’ is by the Art Throbs, who were Peter Raengel and Bruce Ellis (who also appears on the Painters’ first 7").
