"I never wanted to use my painful experience as creative fodder. And I can be stubborn as hell. But after a decade of circling these memories like some winged creature, maybe it’s worth a try.

This project is for anyone in a situation, past or present, that demanded they give up their autonomy to succeed. Or survive. Whether it was due to a person, an institution, or anything in between.

Moving forward is a fumbling, stumbling, winding mess. I don’t have answers. I don’t have a moral for the story. But I think making A Spectre Prepares is an important part of how I move on. Thanks for listening."
