𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲🚧 N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname provides an update on the progress of the Albina ferry dock project. ✅ After multiple adjustments and unforeseen delays, the project is progressing well and is on track for successful completion this year. ✅ Trial runs with the new ferry Le Malani have been successful, although adjustments to the loading ramp are in progress to adapt to changing water levels in the Marowijne River. ✅ The old pontoon has been repaired and will continue to operate safely until Le Malani is fully operational. 🚨 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: Stricter Safety Vest Guidelines Enforced from November 1, 2024 At N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname/ Suriname Port Management Company, the safety of all port users is our top priority. The use of safety vests/shirts has often been overlooked, but it's crucial for ensuring your safety. Over the years, various types of safety vests/shirts have been used that do not always meet the required standards. To address this, we are tightening the guidelines for safety vests/shirts. Starting November 1, 2024, please adhere to the following new guidelines: 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Safety vests/shirts must be in bright fluorescent colors with reflective stripes of at least 5 cm width, to be clearly visible during the day, in low light, and at night. Only the specified colors or combinations will be accepted. 2. 𝗡𝗼 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀: Vests/shirts with only reflective stripes will not be accepted. 3. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Vests/shirts must be well-maintained, clean, and free from damage at all times. 4. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿: Vests/shirts must be worn upon entering the port facility.
