Our Sandpoint/Sagle family is looking for an Operations Float! This position is responsible for the safe handling of products, including the delivery, check-in, and set-up of products.
The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform the tasks necessary for the delivery and servicing of our product in client locations.
Other primary responsibilities include assisting in other areas related to product handling, merchandising, delivery, and draught and the sanitation of draught lines.
This is primarily a fast paced, physically demanding job delivering products to stores, bars, and restaurants under the direct supervision of the Delivery Supervisor and has latitude for independent direction in duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a company vehicle on a designated route while practicing all federal safety and HBC safety requirements.
Complete driver inspection reports (DIR) daily in accordance with company policy when operating a company vehicle.
Unload all products for each location and merchandise product in the stores when necessary.
Verify inventory counts and document discrepancies when delivering products to customers.
Maintain back-stock of product in each account, rotate stock to maintain freshness, stocking shelves and building displays at each account.
Help cover different routes as needed.
Perform pre- & post- trip inspections of delivery vehicles, plus help complete truck maintenance checklist daily as needed.
Safely handle hazardous cleaning chemicals in compliance with all MSDS, state and federal safety and administrative requirements, as well as following and promoting the HBC safety policy (98%); Safely and effectively use cleaning chemicals to perform industry sanitation standards and company standards.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while using hazardous cleaning chemicals.
Service customer accounts in a professional manner.
This position requires employees to have direct contact with customers.
This position requires fluency in email, VIP, and basic computer skills.
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Duties are subject to change at the discretion of HBC, to accommodate the changes and needs of the industry and our customers.
Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and with necessary attention to detail.
Show the ability to function as a team member through communication while engaging in self-directed resourcefulness.
Drug and/or alcohol testing- Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug test with a negative result for the presence-controlled substances to be accepted for employment with the Company.
Participate and pass random drug tests in accordance with the Company’s established Drug Free Workplace programs.
Background – Ability to pass criminal background and employment reference check.
Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Card if necessary.
Maintain Satisfactory Driving Record- Satisfy Company requirements which include but are not limited to no more than two (2) moving traffic violations/convictions, no DUI, or license suspensions within the past three (3) years or any other driving record that may be deemed as unacceptable by the Company.
Essential Physical Abilities Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone.
Sufficient visual and mental acuity which permits the employee to comprehend written and verbal work instructions and make determination of necessary actions to take to comply with hygiene and appearance standards for the facility.
Uniforms may be provided, and when provided must be worn in a safe manner.
Sufficient visual and manual dexterity, which permits the employee to operate safely in a fast-moving environment.
Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to lift 28 to 60 pounds, up to 500 to 1000 times a day, as well as lift 158 pounds up to 24” off the ground.
Also, must be able to climb up and down forklifts and ladders without difficulty stand for the duration of their shift and walk an equivalent of several miles per day.

Primarily work performed- This position works in an indoor and outdoor environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures reflective of seasonal weather and other varying conditions.
