org ACTIVITY ROOM CAREGIVER JOB DESCRIPTION It is the goal of Westminster UCC to provide a safe and loving environment for the youngest in our community during the regularly scheduled Sunday morning activities and special church events.
Requirements: * Minimum age 18 years old.
* Mature judgment, patience, dependability, and love.
* Experience in caring for children age 0-8.
* Successful completion of a criminal background check by Trust Employees and willingness to obtain certification with the Red Cross in emergency care (paid for by Westminster UCC).
General Information: * The Caregivers work under the direction of the Pastor.
* Regular hours: Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm.
* Special hours are as needed and are arranged with the Pastor (ie: holidays, other) The responsibilities of the Activity Room Caregivers: * Ensure that the environment is safe for every child.
* Listen carefully to the information from, and desires of the parents of the children in your care.
* Supervise the activities of the children and encourage behavior and attitudes of caring and love.
* Wear a name tag.
* Receive complete sign-in by the adult responsible for any child who comes to the Activity Room.
* Complete an information sheet for each child regarding allergies or other special needs or concerns.
* See that toys, games, and craft materials are put away at the end of each use of the Activity Room.
* Clean and sanitize tables and chairs after snack time.
Sanitize toys after use.
Use sanitizing wipes.
* Alert custodian to needs for cleaning supplies, crackers and batteries, as well as maintenance and repair.
* Notify the Pastor if you are unable to work as scheduled.
* Be prompt.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.
00 - $21.
00 per hour Expected hours: 2.
