Diesel unveiled a capsule collection co-designed by Damiano David, the lead vocalist of the Italian rock band Måneskin and the brand’s first global male ambassador.
The capsule combines Diesel creative director Glenn Martens’ signatures with of David’s personal style, including prints and patchworks of the singer’s tattoos.
The collection includes runway looks reinvented in exaggerated proportions. The denim range spans oversized suits, maxi skirts, exaggerated cargo pants and a cape—some with peel-off treatments and raw edges.
Burnout jersey tops and ultra-wide-leg drawstring pants emblazoned with the word “Damiano” in the signature Diesel font. Typography looks like its blasted with a blowtorch. The collection also includes an oversized coated wool suiting and knitwear.
The collection drops just weeks after David debuted his solo single “Born With A Broken Heart.” He recently wore some pieces from the capsule collection for public appearances, including the black coated tailored suit and black cape.
In a press release, Diesel said David “defines the archetype of the Diesel man with his eclectic personal style and nonconformist spirit” and added how the partnership “embodies Diesel’s long-standing connection to groundbreaking music and represents the brand’s new vision of masculinity and gender liberation.”
Diesel announced its collaboration with David in June. In a video, David said he and Martens share a similar mindset. In May, David attended the 2024 Met Gala wearing a fully custom Diesel. It was Diesel’s first time at the fashion event.
