David Fischer Again, the wise bmurator sums it up perfectly! If one knows how to write music correctly, one can write it incorrectly - in the correct way. The orchestral intro is just that: subtly off key at times, (gorgeously) challenging and noble. The ambient part, or 'interference' is a comfortable blanket of mood and white noise, and I could lose myself in it for days. Truflun is a treat and another Skynbrögð release making me see things in my mind's eye. Much more to say, no space left. TLDR: brilliant!

bmurator Icelandic Atmospheric & Dark Ambient. This album captures the essence of things extremely well! Nothing is what it seems & there is always a little tone variation in the most exquisite beauties or a little hope in strongest of despairs. So these two sides play off against each other here & it is slightly unsettling at times but also & especially unbelievably beautiful! I would say that this is Skyn's most powerful & evocative, of incredibly strong emotions, work to date! Highly recommended!!!

about

Truflun is about the unsettling experience of interference—whether mental, emotional, or environmental. The album captures the feeling of disruption, with sonic landscapes that include static, white noise, and fractured, glitch-like sounds, as well as some intervening orchestral colours—mainly cellos, violas and violins, with briefly introduced orchestral-sounding synthesizers spread throughout.

The album starts with a slightly chaotic and off-key orchestral intro, whereafter the listener is submerged in a world where familiar patterns are broken, and peace is replaced with dissonance, embodying the chaotic energy of disturbances in both nature and human consciousness, leaving the listener in a state of eerie tension.

Free listening forever on Bandcamp (no limit) but buying is very appreciated.
