POV: you're a glacier in the year 2077 and what is still left of you is melting away over the course of Vosbúð. Kyrrþey is massive, even monumental in its scope and magnificent in its execution. I am by no means a funeral doom boy, but what Dauðaró summons is checking all the right boxes for me. An almost sacral, solemn feeling accompanies the heart-wrenching, creeping doom that speaks to me of inevitable end. I might finally become a funeral doom enjoyer due to Dauðaró. Thanks for the code!

I have written kind words about SaG before, and I know that once Absolute Monarchy releases in full on 1 August, I will have a lot more praise to give! Things are sounding really nice - in an oppressive and dark way, of course - on these first two tracks, and if there is any country’s BM scene that can darken one’s summer days in the right way, it is Iceland’s.
