HOURS: Part-time, online teaching position.
Evening hours Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Hours not to exceed 29 hours per week.
LOCATION: This position is remote but requires residency near the Sioux Falls area.
While the ESL instruction is provided on-line, staff meetings, in-service trainings and conferences must be attended in-person.
Residency outside of South Dakota will not be considered.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will provide online English as a Second Language instruction to refugee and immigrant adults.
Develop curriculum and lesson plans that align with program and grant requirements to create an engaging and valuable learning experience.
Participate in required staff meetings, in-service trainings and conferences.
In-service trainings and conferences will be in-person.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Spanish (when applicable) or related field and one year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification or Master’s degree in TESOL preferred.
The applicant must be flexible, creative and be able to communicate effectively with beginning level students having limited previous formal education.
Must have strong technology, cross-cultural, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
