Job Summary
A Soccer Instructor is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing Soccer lessons for youth.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of age
Knowledge of principles and skills of the game of soccer.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of child and participant supervision.
Knowledge of instruction and teaching techniques.
Major Duties
Provide soccer lessons to youth ages 5-9.
Develop lesson plans & soccer activities to keep the students engaged
Effectively supervise and maintain control of participants.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff members and the public courteously and tactfully.
Work with limited supervision.
Records accurate daily attendance reports.
Communicate problems/concerns with the Recreation Manager.
Maintains safety for each participant during the time they are participating and maintains discipline.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
This position is performed in an outdoor setting, possibly in adverse weather conditions.
Requires the ability to exert physical effort, typically involving standing, walking, running, stooping, crouching, and other activities related to the game of tennis.
Mental Complexity/Interpersonal Contacts
Effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
