Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team.
As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and lives of young children.
You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop important skills for their future.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum that align with early childhood education standards
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenging behaviors
- Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate activities and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Understanding of behavioral health concepts and strategies
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
