Assistant Golf Professional
Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional will be an ambassador for GreatLIFE by enriching the lives of families and individuals, through golf, fitness and healthy lifestyles by providing world class levels of customer service to both members and guests.
Daily management of staff and oversight of daily duties to include maintenance of clubhouse grounds, practice facility, golf carts, cart storage, and surrounding areas.
Said individual must possess an outstanding work ethic, communication skills, and leadership skills.
Details
This position reports to the General Manager.
The candidate will be required to work 40 - 50 hours a week including weekends during the peak season.
The Assistant Golf Professional will give his/her professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services to the facilities managing body as required.
The position will promote an exceptional "golf experience", and provide excellent customer service for all members and guests.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of staff to maintain Central Valley service standards in all golf operations - Pro Shop Staff, Player Assistants, Outside Service Staff
Works closely with the General Manager on schedules for leagues, golf tournaments, and daily operations
Proactively manage daily work to ensure team member accountability
Coordinating with golf shop staff and player assistant staff for daily functions
Assist with tournament operations
Assist with Junior Golf Camps.
Assist with league organization
Assist the Golf Professional with on course assistance as requested
Assist fellow teammates to ensure the highest quality of member and guest service
Greet all members and guests in a professional and friendly manner
Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage
Assist in the oversight of a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with customer demographics and needs
Oversee and enforce golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, and resources
Maintain accurate counts on tee sheet and in the point-of-sale system to increase rounds of golf and golf shop revenue
