These results suggest that rapid force generation in the forearm and wrist is crucial for achieving optimal contact point stability during serves. Analyzing Croatia's EURO 2024 Performance: A Story of Missed Opportunities 🇭🇷❌️ As we look into the data from EURO 2024, one intriguing observation stands out: Croatia leads the tournament with an impressive expected goals (xG) of 6.5. However, they have only managed to score 2 goals (excluding 1 own goal). Despite creating numerous chances, it appears Croatia has struggled to capitalize on these opportunities. The data shows that while they generated significant attacking potential, converting these chances into goals has been a challenge. Key stats: ⚽️ Expected Goals (xG): 6.50 🥅 Goals Scored: 2 (excluding 1 own goal) 🎯 Progressive Passes: 124 🏃‍♂️ Progressive Carries: 62 With these numbers, it's clear that Croatia had the potential to be a strong contender in the tournament again. Football Forum Hungary 2024 East Meets West in Football Business It was really interesting event with a lot of thought provoking ideas and and different way of thinking about the most beautiful game in the world. The keynote speakers and the round table guests talked about the actual trends in football from different perspectives. One of the most frequently used words during the event were data in modern sport, talent development and the importance of strategy during different football related processes. Here are my key takeaways: Identity - be proud of your nationality, culture, community … Success - players are prepared to be challenged and make sacrifices to be a pro player, or to be a football player is a social status aspect? Responsibility - coach / player / club / parents … High Performance Climate - proper environment for talent development and improvement where high performance mindset is crucial Neuroscience - Neuro Athletic Training - will be hot topic in the near future Assets management - not only the player is the asset - don’t forget about the know-how&competences, processes&workflow, information&data Food for thought: The football we have … The football we want … The football we need … It was a pleasure to be there and gain insight into the football from different angles. #footballforum2024

Everything you need to know about how club football is functioning in whole one region of Europe, is locked in the recent statement of Partizan Belgrade's new president Rasim Ljajić: – debts exceeding €45 million; – Approx. half of it is unpaid state taxes; – Substantial amounts are also due to agents, former players, and other clubs (unpaid wages and commissions); – €1.2 million monthly expenses for salaries only; – Income: practically zero. Now, you may think this is an isolated example of bad football club governance, but unfortunately it's not. In several Eastern European countries the professional football market is deeply dysfunctional, distorted by political interference and financially unsustainable. If the governance model of football doesn't change any time soon, those markets will collapse and European football will lose part of its diversity. And not only. One can ask where the next Dusan Vlahovic, Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov will come from?

How to integrate young academy soccer players to the A (first) team? It is a topic, challenge and also problem that many academies, clubs struggle with it. I had the opportunity to participate in an event where I got more information on how in Hungary - HONVÉD deal with this situation. Here are some key points, take home message: Q: Who will be pro, A team player??? A: The one, who the coach puts on the field!!! Simple answer, but what is behind? What kind of players we need to create? Technically well prepared - Tactically matured - Physically robust - Mentally resilience? These aspects plays a huge role in player development, but we can’t forgot the importance of the academy vision and mission statement, core values and behaviours. What is the driving force during the process? There is unity, dedication, passion, joy, hard/smart work? Who is responsible for the player development? The player - the coach - the parent - the club? There is lot of unanswered questions, where is really hard to give a good, right answer. In football “IF” doesn’t play. It is a process, journey with a lot of unexpected issues, but problems are part of life, how we deal it is an art of life. It was a eye-opener event with a lot of thought-provoking ideas. To meet Ádám Szalai, who was not only an excellent player, but also key figure in football development in Hungary was the highlight of the day. #football#education#playerdevelopment

This innovation in football refereeing is the first of its kind, enabling referees to improve their decision-making under match conditions using advanced technology. The complex test, which includes sound signals, video clips, and a decision-making app, removes human influence entirely, providing real-time feedback. Referees will have to swiftly position themselves, view a single video incident and make decisions both through a custom-built app and manually, simulating match scenarios. The app, developed over the past 15 months in Macedonia and upgraded with UEFA-level analytics, delivers instant feedback to enhance referee performance.

By introducing #digitalization, we began bringing transparency to the 🇭🇷 citys. Today, more than 30 cities manage the funds they allocate to #sports organizations in the most modern, paperless way. For the fifth consecutive year, our #SOM system has been successfully digitalizing operations across #Croatia. We began with sports, and today we are proud to highlight that in 2023, over €6.3 million has been efficiently allocated through our systems. The figures are steadily increasing each year, which is an encouraging trend. I always love to draw parallels between sports and business. My roles at Infinum, a software development company, and Dinamo Zagreb, a football club, have shown me the similarities between the two worlds. In sports, the playing field, the number of players, and the game rules are always the same. Which makes it a bit harder to innovate, but easier to adapt to new circumstances. However, behind closed doors, businesses and sports clubs are very similar, especially when it comes to leadership, team management, and culture-building processes. For me, it's the easiest way to get inspired. Just take the examples of managers/coaches with a continuous winning strategy. Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, and Chuck Daly to name a few... Sports competition in individual or team sports is definitely different for competitors and specific for each discipline, team, participants, preparations, result and final success. Certainly the highest paid individuals in team sports such as the world's most popular sports: football, basketball, hockey, etc., and much less in individual sports, where golf, boxing and tennis are the closest. But if you look at the less popular sports, the differences between them are huge compared to the highest paid sports. If, for example, we compare the earnings of basketball player LeBron James in the amount of 50 million per season without other earnings, such as commercials, clothes, etc., with e.g. compared to cyclist Tadej Pogačar, 6 million per season without commercials, clothing sales, etc. The difference is 8x. Not to mention the significantly lower paid Olympic and world champions from less popular disciplines. These differences will be much greater. So one is paid too much, and the other too little or just enough. It certainly depends the most on the industry, which is globally popular, umbrella associations and federations, TV and other rights, sales of sporting goods, teams and individuals, and sponsors.
