“Raveen worked with me on the Schindler Lift Job Manager and Varidor-70 project for Schindler during 2002-2004. During this time, I found him dedicated in the learing the craft of software development. He was a quick learner and was willing to put in the time and effort to become excellent in his role as software developer. His get-it-done attitude left me in awe at times. I had recommended him for a couple of awards, that he won. I wish him a great career ahead. Considering, his current achievements, I think my mentorship was of value to him. Wish him all the best in his next endeavors.”

Right To Information (RTI) is the law in India- where citizens can ask a govt department specific queries and the departments are bound by law to respond in a fixed time. Yet the process can be cumbersome and complicated. RTIBot is a chatbot based assistant to simplify the RTI application process.
An RTI applicant will communicate with the chatbot. The chatbot will ask the relevant questions and understand the responses to choose the correct legal document template and and identify the concerned govt departments where the application should be sent to. A PDF of the application is created with the necessary legal headers and the information from the user and sent automatically to the concerned department. -

Defcon1 Alarm App - Philly Startup Weekend 5.0

Alarm clock apps are a dime a dozen. Each has its own gimmick 'guaranteed' to get you out of bed. Once you get used to the gimmick, though, the alarm ceases to be effective - and before you know it you're sleeping right through it. The solution? Make the alarm unpredictable.

The DEFCON Alarm is the alarm solution because it is every alarm app rolled into one. Before you go to bed, you set your DEFCON level, on a scale of 5 (I'd like to get up at 9am this Saturday) to 1 (If I don't wake up at 5am, the mob is going to hunt me down like a dog) - and the next morning you'll be met with one hell of a surprise.
Get the most out of your alarm. Get DEFCON.

NYC 311 - Personal Democracy Forum Hackathon, CUNY, New York

This was a hack done in Personal Democracy Forum Hackathon at the CUNY Journalism School in NYC. We visualized the recently open sourced NYC 311 data using light weight D3JS Javascript Visualization library and JSON on a Python Django Server. The app would be made into an mobile and location aware app. The app would show the data visualization based on where the app was being used. We eventually planned to add image recognition such that, if the user pointed the phone's camera to any building…

We eventually planned to add image recognition such that, if the user pointed the phone's camera to any building then 311 data will be visualized for that building and neighborhood. Such an app can be very handy for people wanting to look for renters, city council members to compare city block performance etc. The app was also to have a bookmarking feature such that the user can see the progress or destruction of an area.
