Right To Information (RTI) is the law in India- where citizens can ask a govt department specific queries and the departments are bound by law to respond in a fixed time. Yet the process can be cumbersome and complicated. RTIBot is a chatbot based assistant to simplify the RTI application process.

An RTI applicant will communicate with the chatbot. The chatbot will ask the relevant questions and understand the responses to choose the correct legal document template and and identify the concerned govt departments where the application should be sent to. A PDF of the application is created with the necessary legal headers and the information from the user and sent automatically to the concerned department.

Before you go to bed, you set your DEFCON level, on a scale of 5 (I'd like to get up at 9am this Saturday) to 1 (If I don't wake up at 5am, the mob is going to hunt me down like a dog) - and the next morning you'll be met with one hell of a surprise.

Get the most out of your alarm. Get DEFCON.

The app would be made into an mobile and location aware app. The app would show the data visualization based on where the app was being used. We eventually planned to add image recognition such that, if the user pointed the phone's camera to any building then 311 data will be visualized for that building and neighborhood. Such an app can be very handy for people wanting to look for renters, city council members to compare city block performance etc. The app was also to have a bookmarking feature such that the user can see the progress or destruction of an area.
