I'm excited to share my thoughts as I had a chance to read the G2 2024 Buyer Behavior Report on the flight to Singapore for People Matters #HR event. The report offers some great insights for HR leaders looking to navigate the fast evolving landscape of #hrtechnology, particularly in the age of #AI. Here's how I recommend you should approach this report, share with others I created three key actions to take: The AI Revolution in HR Tech - The report shows that AI is no longer just hype - it's reshaping the entire software landscape, yes, this is a big of shift from #clientserver to #cloud including HR technology. 56% of buyers are purchasing an AI platform in the last 3 months and 83% already seeing positive ROI, it's clear that AI-powered HR solutions are becoming essential. As HR leaders, we need to embrace this #change and understand how AI can enhance our processes and decision-making as well as how we design #work and #jobs. Changing Buyer Dynamics - Shorter shortlists, longer buying cycles, and heightened #ROI expectations are reshaping how HR tech is evaluated and purchased. This means we need to be more strategic technology selection process, focusing on solutions that can demonstrate quick wins and long-term value. Security and Integration Priorities - Security features and #integration capabilities have emerged as top considerations for buyers. We need to prioritize solutions that not only offer robust security but also seamlessly integrate with our existing tech stack both tech wise and #experience wise. Three Actions HR Leaders Should Take:Develop an #AIStrategy for HR: 1) Create a roadmap for incorporating AI into your HR processes. Focus on areas where AI can have the most significant impact and HOW you meausre impact. Ensure your strategy aligns with overall business objectives and addresses potential ethical considerations. 2) GOVERN Your Buying Process. Given the longer buying cycles and increased C-suite involvement, revamp your HR tech evaluation process. Develop a clear framework for assessing solutions, focusing on ROI, security, and integration capabilities. Involve key stakeholders early, including IT and legal teams, to avoid delays later in the process. Prioritize Worker Experience and Direct Access: This insight show we must continue to prioritize solutions, or think about our experience architecture differently to focus on intuitive experiences and robust direct access capabilities for employees and managers. This will not only align with current trends but also drive #adoption and results, something we have been missing in HR. We must stop just buying tech and truly invest in tools that will shape the #futureofwork, both for us and our workforce. By staying informed about these trends and taking strategic action, we can position ourselves as true drivers of digital transformation in HR.
