One of the challenges to AI adoption is fragmented data and systems. Our Enterprise AI Maturity Index shows that less than 1 in 2 enterprises in APAC have taken steps to connect data and operational silos- a key step to effectively leveraging AI. The report highlights that only 8% of APJ organisations have truly industrialised AI, with the vast majority (64%) still navigating adoption. Can organisations across the region bridge the data management gap to unlock the full potential of AI analytics? AI thrives on clean, well-organised data. Data-related challenges are holding back AI adoption in Singapore and more than two-thirds (69%) of IT leaders in the country believe that investments in generative AI will trend up in the next two years, according to a new report from Confluent. The report was based on a survey done by Freeform Dynamics and Radma Research with responses from 4,110 IT leaders familiar with data streaming from companies with 500 or more employees. These respondents are from 12 different countries including Singapore, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. There were 161 respondents in Singapore.

Last week I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion with Gartner's Derry Finkeldey, Arup Roy and Adit Khosa. Gayan Perera from Magnetism and I shared our take on the path to "Optimise the Customer Journey; and Leverage AI" in this ever changing market.
