Some basic fengshui things. Like if someone wants a son, make sure there’s enough room or space I the east of the house. Even a single bed against eastern wall could make it NOT happen. And be aware of where the living room is cos it also affects family members, it can make one of them not available in the house depending on the position of the living room. And the kitchen, where it locates decide who would be the one have health issues.

One day after EssilorLuxottica announced its deal to acquire Supreme from VF Corporation, Meta, Facebook's owner, is in talks to acquire a stake of about 5% in the eyewear company. Based on recent market value, a roughly 5% stake could be valued at around $5 billion, a relatively small for Meta, given its market value of around $1.2 trillion. EssilorLuxottica makes Meta's Ray Ban smart glasses and sales of the glasses have exceeded expectations. The devices, an important part of Meta’s hardware strategy, allow users to take photos and listen to music with the frames of their glasses, among other features. Maintaining ties with Luxottica is crucial for the success of smart glasses devices and the company’s ambitions to build the so-called metaverse, which is a term used to describe people interacting in a 3-D version of the internet simultaneously. A third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, expected to include a small screen display, is expected to be ready for consumers in time for the 2025 holiday season. The allure of Luxottica’s Ray-Ban brand is important to the success of a tech device that users are expected to wear on their faces. Luxottica’s ownership of LensCrafters, the prescription-eyewear retailer, also plays a key role in selling the Ray-Ban Meta to users who require prescription lenses. The two companies began working together several years ago for the release of the first generation Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses, which went on sale in 2021. The initial device struggled to catch on with consumers, and among the glasses that were sold, only 10% of the Ray-Ban Stories were actively used by their purchasers. The second-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses went on sale in September and have done significantly better than their predecessors. The Ray-Ban Meta glasses operate more quickly and have better cameras than their predecessor. The Ray-Ban Meta also includes nascent generative #AI technology that allows users to ask the device for information about the things in front of them, such as the breed of a cat. The Ray-Ban Meta glasses have proven popular for users who want to shoot hands-free videos of their children playing and first-person videos of themselves while going on roller coasters or riding bikes. Meta hasn’t said how well the Ray-Ban Meta glasses have sold, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in April that the device was doing well and that a market for that type of device was developing sooner than he would have expected. Meta sells its own devices to employees at a discount, and offers the Ray-Ban Meta glasses at a 15% discount with a limit of 3 pairs per employee. Hong Kong retail sales continue to experience a recession, reporting a double-digit drop in two consecutive months in May. Earlier this year, the city witnessed a change in consumer spending with more residents flocking to Shenzhen for cheaper shopping and entertainment. Residents are also spending more in other overseas markets, such as Japan, South Korea and Mainland China, due to the strong Hong Kong dollar. Italian luxury group Salvatore FERRAGAMO has reported sales dropping 16.6 per cent at constant exchange rates for the first quarter due to the “volatile consumer environment in Greater China”. Net sales in Asia Pacific were down 15.5 per cent year-on-year. The company said while Greater China and Korea were impacted by weak consumer sentiment, the rest of Asia Pacific was positive as travel resumed. Indonesia's antitrust agency, known as KPPU, said in a statement Shopee had admitted to having violated anti-competition rules by directing customers to certain delivery services after being accused of the breaches last month. 🇭🇰 A lineup of famous luxury labels, including Louis Vuitton, Prada Group, Dior, and Hermès, has signed on to a US$1 billion luxury development planned by the listed property developer, Hongkong Land Limited, scheduled over the next three years. 🇨🇳 Two adidas employees in China have left the company due to an ongoing probe into corruption allegations that were opened after the German sportswear maker received an anonymous letter, an Adidas spokesperson said on Wednesday. 🇨🇳 Fashion label Esprit says it is in “the final stages of negotiations” with an independent third party to sell various assets across Greater China. In a deal it says is worth US$47.5 million, the Hong Kong-headquartered fashion retailer would hand over trademarks and its main domain names in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The unidentified buyer would pay $10 million if the deal is finalised. Behind the collaboration: Gioia Pan and Clarks link up for Taipei Fashion Week A designer collaborating with a footwear brand is not an unlikely scenario at fashion week. This was also the case for established designer Li-Yang Pan, who for the presentation of her brand Gioia Pan’s AW24 collection at Taipei Fashion Week onboarded British shoe brand Clarks as a primary collaborator. As such, Pan’s show was rife in the iconography of Clarks; the brand’s ads were displayed on the screen at the end of the runway up until the show started, front row guests were gifted bags filled with shoe-related goods and attending celebrities and influencers also appeared to be wearing pairs of Clarks to show support. On the runway, meanwhile, Clarks shoes were paired with Gioia Pan’s functional sports collection, notably the first time Pan has ventured into the sports fashion category and a choice made due to Clarks’ “pursuit of the best wearing experience deeply rooted in its DNA” and the brand’s “centuries-old craftsmanship” that resonated with Pan’s own design values. The Gioia Pan brand is also known for such practices, having established itself as a leader in innovative knitwear since Pan founded the brand in 2001. Partnership comes as Pan ventures into sports fashion The collaborative process was a one that saw both Pan’s and Clarks’ teams work closely together on outlining brand positioning and design concepts, before the two looked at integrating the footwear with the sportswear line, ensuring what Pan said was “a perfect blend of style and functionality for both brands”. This then extended into a series of marketing plans alongside the fashion show, including social media activations to help maximise market impact. When asked what the appeal was in working with Clarks, Pan told FashionUnited: “This collaboration was a strategic decision from a business perspective. It aligns with our brand values and image. Clarks, as a heritage British brand with almost 200 years history, shares the same value with us – pursuing high quality and comfort, which resonates well with our brand’s focus – high-end functionality product and style. This resonance will enhance the market appeal of our products.” For Pan, the partnership goes hand-in-hand with Gioia Pan’s goal of internationalisation, with the perspective of reaching a wider consumer base particularly in the UK and European markets.
