Referred to as “Type Certification Validation”, the agreement essentially ensures automatic approval for Joby’s aircraft once it has completed FAA certification. There is paint chipping in all the typical high-speed corners and several areas of minor surface corrosion (bubbling) that needs to be addressed by the next owner. We may call and get a paint quote by the time you inquire, so ask us first Aircraft Maintenance / History This aircraft has only flown about forty hours in the last seven years since the engines were overhauled. The most recent Annual inspection was last complied with in March of 2024 by Gary Loose IA 2051687. The current owner had the aircraft flown from Wyoming to our headquarters, in Jamestown, NY for resale. When the plane arrived, the ferry pilot reported several squawks, which are being worked now. All repairs for this work are being accomplished by an FAA Certified Repair Station. The logbooks appear to be complete since new, original and in English.

The AMP's Role and Navigating Lease Returns with Maintaining Airworthiness When an aircraft is approaching its lease return date, a smooth transition is the goal. Complexities can arise from the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP). These crucial details within the AMP can lead to unexpected costs, delays, and even disputes between lessors and lessees. AMP: The Maintenance Roadmap The AMP is a comprehensive document outlining the mandatory maintenance tasks required to keep an aircraft airworthy. It incorporates various elements, including: * Scheduled Maintenance: Routine inspections and tasks performed at specific intervals. * Airworthiness Directives (ADs): Mandated instructions issued by aviation authorities to address safety concerns. * Service Bulletins (SBs): Recommendations from manufacturers for resolving known issues or improving performance. The Lease Return Challenge: Airworthiness vs. Compliance While an airworthy aircraft is essential, meeting lease return conditions adds another layer of complexity. Here's where the AMP becomes critical: * AD Compliance: Ensuring all required ADs have been properly addressed and documented. Non-compliance can lead to grounding or costly rectification. * SB Status: Some SBs, while not mandatory, may be stipulated in the lease agreement. Failing to comply can trigger penalties or maintenance obligations. * ETOPS/EDTO Implications: Modifications or maintenance actions affecting Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards (ETOPS) or Extended Diversion Time Operations (EDTO) capabilities must be carefully managed to meet lease requirements. Parts and their ICA: ADs can introduce additional Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) into the AMP. These instructions, specific to the AD, might necessitate additional inspections, tasks, or even modifications. Parts fitted during lease return can have AD associated or even change the aircraft status based on part number.or mod status for example and as such are a vital consideration. China's COMAC tests SAF on regional, passenger aircraft State-owned aerospace manufacture Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) announced that it has successfully tested sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on regional jet ARJ21 and large passenger aircraft C919. The company said that SAF utilised in the flight was produced from used cooking oil (UCO) collected from restaurants. We were tight on time for departing, and I was keen to make sure we arrived in time – and in fact we arrived over the airfield at 16:30 – plenty of time for an overhead join. Commercial #engineMRO demand for the Asia-Pacific region is projected to pass $101 billion, with more than 22,000 engine service events through 2033. The region’s commercial #aircraft fleet is expected to grow to over 7,600 in 2033 from just over 4,900 aircraft in 2024—a nearly 56% rise in fleet strength. This translates to a jump in #engineMRO demand over the same period. Required engine MRO demand for the region is projected to grow at a respectable compound annual growth rate of 1.7%. The 2024 Aviation Week Network Commercial Aviation Fleet & MRO Forecast projects how the world’s #aircraftfleet and aftermarket will evolve over the next 10 years. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (“DGCA”) has further revised Civil Aviation Requirement (“CAR”) Section 5, Series F Part IV (which was revised on 8th April 2024) dealing with the procedure for breath-analyzer examination of personnel engaged in (i) aircraft maintenance; (ii) air traffic control services; (iii) aerodrome operations and (iv) ground handling services for detection of consumption of alcohol. Some of the changes are, inter-alia, (i) revision of the definition of Medical Personnel to include advance care paramedics, operation theatre technologists, etc.; (ii) the digital value of the fuel cell technology based breath-analyzer to be measured in % BAC; and (iii) reporting of certain positive cases to ATCO Licensing Division of the DGCA.
