As countries worldwide strive to achieve their sustainability goals, the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) has become a crucial priority. For regulators, the task of monitoring and optimizing charge point operations across multiple Charge Point Operators (CPOs) can be a daunting challenge. At NTT Data, we collaborated with our partner AWS to solve this challenge for our customer EV-Electric (EVe) Charging Pte Ltd in Singapore. By leveraging the data generated by the charging stations, we were able to derive valuable insights that empowers EVe to streamline their charge point operations.   NTT DATA's e-Mobility Data platform plays a crucial role by addressing EVe’s data integration and analytics needs using AWS services. In an interview at #BrainstormAI in Singapore, Glean cofounder and CEO Arvind Jain shared that when he founded his previous company, Rubrik, he noticed a decline in productivity as the company grew compared to when it was a smaller organization. "We asked employees what was in the way of getting high productivity, and our surveys showed that people were really struggling to find information at work," he added. After all, digital transformation and #innovation is driven by human talent. #Oracle continues to make significant investments around the world to empower youth as well as professionals with vital knowledge and skills needed for today’s AI age. Our latest technology upskilling initiative in the Far East announced by our CEO Safra Catz reflects Oracle’s steadfast commitment towards education. In collaboration with the Singapore government, Oracle will deliver free training to 10,000 students and professionals in #ArtificialIntelligence, #Cloud, Cybersecurity and Data Science by 2027. In December 2023, we announced the ambitious ‘Mostaqbali’ program that will train 50,000 Saudi nationals in AI and the latest emerging tech. This was followed by a path-breaking training initiative early this year in the UAE called ‘sAIdaty’. Aligned to the UAE’s vision to be the world’s most prepared country for AI, ‘sAIdaty’ will equip 500 women professionals and entrepreneurs with vital AI skills. Such visionary capacity building initiatives will go a long way in enabling the regions where we operate to become global epicenters for AI and digital excellence.

Another huge announcement from Microsoft this week on cloud and AI investment in Asia, specifically Malaysia. Microsoft will invest US$2.2 billion over the next four years to support Malaysia’s digital transformation – the single largest investment in its 32-year history in the country. Microsoft’s investment includes: - building cloud and AI infrastructure in Malaysia - creating AI skilling opportunities for an additional 200,000 people in Malaysia - strengthening its partnership with the Government of Malaysia to establish a national AI Centre of Excellence and enhance the nation’s cybersecurity capabilities - supporting the growth of Malaysia’s developer community. The investment demonstrates Microsoft’s commitment to developing Malaysia as a hub for cloud computing and related advanced technologies, including generative AI. It's what most know superficially but the data supports it - "A recently report claims approximately 36% of enterprises now spend over $12 million annually on public cloud services, marking a significant increase from the 29% reported the previous year, with an estimated 27% of cloud spend attributable to waste" This validates our approach of how over the years' we have nurtured our cloud practice to look for innovative solutions, which deliver short term cloud goals while we plan for the long term ones.
