From Day One to Disruption: My Journey as Singlife's First Business Analyst/Product Owner It was my first day at SingLife. I walked into the service office at Metropolis, ready to dive in only to find it completely empty! Everyone was at a kick-off workshop at Raffles, so I headed there instead. Little did I know, that day would mark the beginning of an incredible journey. At the workshop, I joined a team united by a bold mission: to build Singapore's first fully digital homegrown life insurance company. Spearheaded by Walter de Oude's inspiring vision, we weren’t just building a company; we were rewriting the rules of an industry that had remained largely unchanged for decades. As the first Business Analyst/Product Owner on the team, I was energized by the challenge. Disruption wasn’t just a buzzword, it was our purpose. The core of our mission was to streamline and automate critical insurance processes, and we were determined to make it happen. Key milestones included: ✅ Automating initial quotes for seamless customer experiences. ✅ Underwriting powered by UnderwriteMe for speed and precision. ✅ ID verification through Jumio Netverify to simplify onboarding. ✅ Implementing digital signatures/transaction signing to eliminate paperwork. ✅ AML checks with World Check to ensure compliance. ✅ Designing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced CDD processes for regulatory integrity. ✅ Building e-application generation, instant notifications, and real-time payment confirmation. ✅ Immediate Policy Issuance What followed was months of intense collaboration, countless iterations of customer journey mapping, and deep dives into cutting-edge technology. We questioned everything, optimized relentlessly, and stayed laser-focused on creating a user-friendly and secure experience. The result? Singapore’s first-ever fully digital life insurance solution. A milestone not just for SingLife, but for the industry itself. Looking back, I’m immensely proud to have been part of SingLife’s founding team. It wasn’t just a job it was a privilege to work under Walter de Oude’s visionary leadership and alongside a team of brilliant minds committed to innovation and excellence. SingLife wasn’t just a step forward for my career; it was a leap forward for the life insurance industry in Singapore. Personal Financial Planning ; Home Joint Loan with Your Life Partner : (1) My article is based on afraid system only.  (2) Ideally, as a female Professional, you should buy your own home no matter how small it is within your budget, be it an apartment, a condo around Klang Valley or any small towns ( terrace, semi - D or bungalow).  (3) In case of any unprecedented incidents such as divorce or fatality, at least the wife has her own home with absolute ownership.  (4) In case you're a full housewife, but your husband having many homes under his name, you have to insist him to surrender at least one home under your name with absolute ownership. Don't ever take things for granted.  (5) Again, no harm for you and your husband purchasing your dream home with a joint loan, provided you have at least another home under your absolute ownership.  (6) Bear in mind, in most cases of divorce, it's gruesome and exasperated.  (7) There is hibah provision, but I'm not in favor of that for my own reasons.
