Connects with Make.com and Zapier for automation workflows ..very powerful stuff ... numerous examples, tutorials, and guides available on the web .. I can go on and on ... DBS Bank launches blockchain-powered treasury tokens pilot for 24/7 treasury and liquidity management. The treasury tokens, enabled by permissioned blockchain, is integrated with the bank’s core payments engine and uses smart contracts and tokenisation to improve banking efficiencies. Hong Kong is moving a lot faster than Singapore in the last few months as Singapore's focus seems purely on AI. Once these experiments take off in China HK, main land China will lead in PvP and PvD using stablecoins and eRMB! But one may not want to underestimate Singapore's strength in setting standards for Web4!

Most people see “blockchain” and “funds” in the same sentence and immediately think of pools of money betting on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether. That isn’t how Singapore sees the utility of distributed ledgers. It has taken a less glamorous view, which may nevertheless be more useful. The Asian financial center has more than 1,200 asset management companies supervising S$146 billion ($112 billion) in so-called collective investment schemes.

Stablecoins with yield blessed by ADGM. Note that yield payments are conditional on the reserve being greater than coins in circulation. The impetus is to stop eventual competition over yield-sharing, leading to greater risk taking on the reserves. Project Cedar of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Innovation Center (NYIC), and Ubin+ of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) - Improving wholesale cross-border multi-currency payments and settlements using Wholesale CBDC based on DLT. Cedar x Ubin+ explores the technical feasibility of a hypothetical DLT- enabled wholesale CBDC prototype to address the challenges of speed, cost, transparency, and access in cross-border. Cedar x Ubin+ investigated two approaches for designing networks supporting multiple wholesale CBDCs - 1. Interlinking distinct CBDC networks typically relies on a shared technical interface or clearing mechanism like hashed timelock contract (HTLC). HTLCs are time-bound smart contracts that act as bridges between ledgers based on distinct technologies, allowing for atomic settlement of digital assets that are maintained on different ledgers and/or are operated by distinct parties. 2. A Multi-CBDC Common Platform - Networks with multiple CBDCs could be designed based on common infrastructure, whereby participants hold and settle CBDCs on a jointly operated platform. A few people have asked me why #NVidia is such a big deal for the public markets (for context, I've been an active equity options trader running my own book for 13 years). Apart from NVDA's central role in #AI (which one can read about anywhere), it has to do with something that has never happened before. For many years Tesla had the largest volume of open options positions - which makes sense, as most option traders are retail rather than professional. NVDA options vol surpassed Tesla's in early '24, after Jensen's earnings calls consistently murdered consensus estimates quarter after quarter, in a streak we may never see again. There are two components to an options price: #1 is the Intrinsic value, which is the amount of profit (in-the-moneyness) of the option based on its strike price and the current stock price. #2 is the Extrinsic Value, which is the sum of the Time Value of the contract (a June 7 2024 option has much less time value than a June 18 2026 one ) and the implied volatility of the option. There are many ways to explain IV, but it's a calculation that represents how much the market expects the underlying stock to move by a given date. Utilities have lower IV than tech stocks; Game Stop's IV is insanely high. The biggest moves on stocks happen going into earnings. This is when IV is highest. Once the earnings are known, stocks quickly move to price in the new info, and IV collapses. Pro options traders are always trading IV. How do they do this? Well, implied volatility is used to calculate something called Expected Move. This is how much, up or down, the market believes a given stock will move. Two quarters ago, the expected move for NVDA going into earnings was 11%. At a market cap off $1.8T, that made the likely swing of NVDA's value + or - $200 billion. Here the thing: $200B, the NVDA expected move, is LARGER than 98.9% of companies in the world. Put another way, the market has priced in potential increases or decreases in NVDA stock that make almost everything else in the market seem piddling. Right now (and over the last few trading days for sure), the price movement of NVDA matters move than Fed speak, more than CPI, more than employment numbers. So, if the question is, how long will it be before AI rewrites the rules of the economy, the answer is: it already has. Because, at least for now, #JensenHuang has rewritten the rules on how US markets function.

Tokenised assets to command 1% of mutual fund AUM by 2030 Tokenised funds could reach US$600 billion of assets under management (AUM) by 2030, according to research by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in a study with fund manager Invesco US. That figure would represent 1% of total AUM for mutual funds and ETFs. Given its size, this is an impressive figure. But what will it take for this hypothesis to become reality? Initial use cases of tokenization have shown that companies use special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to manage assets. Similarly, the tokenization of funds (unit trusts and/or fund companies) can be implemented. Once operational, token funds offer investors benefits such as 24/7 secondary transfers and fractionalization, a lower threshold for investment and instant collateralization when regulatory guardrails are in place. But this is where the discourse begins, as regulatory certainty and legal enforceability are needed to pave the way. The topic of market making will be no less exciting. Anthropic’s latest generative AI model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, is outperforming industry giants like OpenAI’s GPT-4o on key benchmarks after its release. This new model is reported as Anthropic’s “most intelligent model yet,” excelling in reasoning and coding tasks while running twice as fast and at a fifth of the cost of its predecessor, Claude 3 Opus. Claude 3.5 Sonnet was released last Thursday and has quickly climbed to the top of league tables, including the LMSYS Chatbot Arena for coding and hard prompts, ranking just behind GPT-4o overall. It is part of a three-model family, combining features of the Haiku and the Opus models, designed for efficient, high-throughput tasks. #ai
