  • Two weeks ago we helped a local Psychologist's website did a cleanup for their website to get ready for the new year 2025. It is important to keep your website (WordPress) version and plugins updated. We also did a backup for their website after this cleanup. Have you got your website ready for the new year?

  • Recently, one of our clients asked us where they can change their website's new order notification email. They realized that the notifications of new orders had been going to the wrong emails recently. If you are also using WordPress + WooCommerce for your e-commerce store, refer to my following video tutorial, where you can change the notification email and add more recipients to be notified. - https://lnkd.in/dymRxp3A

  • Last week we have helped one Australian-based eCommerce website fix their Stripe payment issue (their website is unable to show the Stripe payment form). The issue is due to a Javascript error in the theme they are using. Unfortunately, the developer no longer supports the theme. So we went ahead and implemented a workaround solution. Now the website is able to show the Stripe payment form for customers to enter their credit card details.

  • Every day there are so many websites out there with email sending issues and based on my experience, most cases are caused by the web hosting email server being not reliable! If you are running a website (especially e-commerce), make sure you are not relying on your web hosting server to send emails. Use an SMTP provider instead (I use Brevo), this will ensure your emails sent out from your website will reach you and your customers. Hope this information helps someone out there!

  • Everyday there are countless of websites being infected with malware and viruses. And getting it cleaned up by a professional can be costly. Thus, it is always important to keep your website safe. One thing you can do is to have daily backups, another thing is to install a good firewall to protect from bots trying to login to your website every minute. Some of my clients are surprised to know that before getting our maintenance services, bots try to log in to their website every 5 minutes using different IP addresses (this is one of the common ways websites got hacked)!

  • Last week, we detected an issue with one of our clients' websites (a local charity organization) regarding email sending and quickly notified them of a fix. It is important to check the email function of your website on a regular basis because you won't want to miss out on an important lead inquiry or anyone trying to contact you. Feel free to contact me if you want to learn a free way to automate email checking for your WordPress website!

  • It is very common for WordPress users to ask for how to improve their website speed. Take this for example - https://lnkd.in/gdecNFfQ Most of the time, a website loads slowly due to the heavy images that it uses. I can still recall once when a company asked for my help to speed up its website, and I found out that the hero banner image that they were using was 5MB+ in size! No wonder their home page is slow. One tip to speed up your website is to optimize your images before uploading them to your websitre or use an image CDN like optimole so that your images can be converted and minimized in real-time. Hope this tip helps!
