The new SGH Emergency/National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) building is set to enhance care with critical services brought closer together—because every second counts in an emergency. While the building will fully open in 2025, here is what to look forward in the coming week: 👉 From 11 December 2024, two Acute Medical Wards (AMW), along with supporting services like Pharmacy and Radiology, will begin operations. 👉 From 16 December 2024, a large purpose-built holding ward will open at Level 4, Zone F (Observation), providing a better space for patients awaiting admission. Before the building opens fully in 2025, patients with emergency needs should continue to seek attention at the SGH Emergency Department at Block 1.
